Anthony Horton is a father, business executive, artist and an avid triathlete. Animal Instincts, released in 2007, is one of his best seller and is currently being made into a movie (pre-production 2016). The design for the book cover was inspired straight out of the book where the thrill of the cat-and-mouse game in the rugged forests of Norther Canada makes the perfect snapshot. Book cover photography was provided by Anthony Brewster.
There were subsequent ads designed for the launch of Animal Instincts, one of the ads was placed in the National Post newspaper (shown below). We had decided to show yet another “snapshot” of dramatic scene from the book, to create a consistent customer experience from ad to book while not reusing same images.
It’s not everyday that I read a thriller fiction, however I was pleasantly surprised and found myself was unable to put it down, right up to the climatic end. Animal Instincts can be purchased at any major book stores or online at Amazon.
Book Summary:
Two professional assassins: one mentor; the other, student. Almost like father and son. Then, one breaks the rules, and the secretive organization which employs them orders one to kill the other. From the sweltering streets of Miami to the rugged forests of Northern Canada, the crude and ruthless Vietnam vet Marcus chases his haunted protégé, Del, who let his heart rule his head in violation of the assassin’s code. With both men simmering with rage and lusting for revenge, the cat-and-mouse game between them boils to a shocking climax.
